Der Du Toitskloof Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz ist von tiefdunklem Rot, Aromen von Brombeeren, Heidelbeeren, Pfeffe, Gewürzen und etwas Tabak. Schöne Fruchtsüße mit fein eingebundenen Tanninen und langem Finale.

Das Weingut
Die Weinkellerei Du Toitskloof wurde 1962 von sechs Winzern als eine Genossenschaft gegründet. Heute hat die Kooperative 22 Mitglieder, viele von ihnen Nachkommen der Gründergeneration. Sie leben alle im Umfeld von 10 km um die Kellerei und haben teil an den Aktivitäten der Firma.
Seit den frühen 90er Jahren hat man sich zunehmend auf die Herstellung von Flaschenweinen konzentriert. Inzwischen hat man sich einen Ruf als fortschrittliche Kellerei erworben, nicht nur hinsichtlich innovativer Verfahren der Kellertechnik, sondern auch durch die Pflege derjenigen Rebsorten, die dem milden Klima der Region am besten angepasst sind.
Von der Produktion roter und weißer Tafelweine in großem Stil ist man inzwischen auch zur Erzeugung hochwertiger Weine der Reserva-Stufe gelangt.
